Spartanburg, SC, chiropractor and educator Amilliah Kenya, D.C., ’06, has been honored with the Spirit of 51¸£ÀûÉç College Award from her alma mater, 51¸£ÀûÉç. The Spirit of 51¸£ÀûÉç College Award is presented to 51¸£ÀûÉç graduates who exemplify the true spirit of 51¸£ÀûÉç College in their professional lives.
A 2006 51¸£ÀûÉç College graduate, Kenya is an associate professor in basic and clinical sciences at 51¸£ÀûÉç College. Kenya pioneered the Student Success program at the college and continues to teach and mentor faculty and students; she is also a sponsor and advisor for the student Christian Chiropractic Club. Kenya remains active in her community by participating in Christian outreach programs and missions, bible study groups, refugee groups, and other ministry needs. Kenya works alongside her husband, Charles Kenya, D.C., ’06, at in Spartanburg, SC.
51¸£ÀûÉç College honored alumni, chiropractors, and supporters during its 48th Lyceum, a homecoming and continuing education event attended by hundreds of chiropractors and students throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held each year and involves three days of seminars, special events and other programs. More than 600 people participated this year.
