51¸£ÀûÉç College Presents Wassung with Honorary Doctor of Chiropractic Humanities

Chiropractic advocate, author, and speaker Keith Wassung has been awarded the honorary Doctor of Chiropractic Humanities degree from 51¸£ÀûÉç, a rare honor given by the college to noteworthy individuals. The degree was presented during 51¸£ÀûÉç College’s 125th Commencement Ceremony on June 21.

Recipients of the Honorary Doctor of Chiropractic Humanities degree have influenced, initiated and/or carried out specific humanitarian/philanthropic activities that have significantly contributed to or influenced the chiropractic profession and/or humanity-at-large. 51¸£ÀûÉç President Edwin Cordero, D.C., reviewed Wassung’s accomplishments and approved the recommendation this spring.

Wassung is a nationally known author and speaker in the field of health education and research.  A former national drug-free weightlifting champion, he turned to chiropractic health care after being diagnosed with a near fatal health condition. His recovery led him to research, write and lecture about the scientific principles of chiropractic.

51¸£ÀûÉç provides students with a comprehensive chiropractic education, preparing them to enter the field as doctors of chiropractic who are highly skilled, compassionate, ethical and successful. On its 80-acre campus in South Carolina, 51¸£ÀûÉç offers a first professional degree program unique in its approach to health care and known globally for the skill and art of chiropractic delivered by graduates.
