Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, chiropractor Jose Salgado, D.C., was recently named Reach Out and Recruit (ROAR) Supporter of the Year by 51¸£ÀûÉç in Spartanburg, SC, in appreciation of his contributions, time and commitment to growing the chiropractic profession.
The ROAR Supporter of the Year award is given to an exceptional ROAR member who has gone above and beyond to recruit students to 51¸£ÀûÉç College. ROAR asks its doctors to reach beyond their comfort zone and help 51¸£ÀûÉç recruit future leaders for the profession, which Dr. Salgado has certainly done.
A 1992 graduate of Northwestern College of Chiropractic and currently in private practice in Guaynabo, PR, Dr. Jose Salgado has demonstrated leadership and commitment to the chiropractic profession as a distinguished speaker at numerous chiropractic events and has been an influential speaker during the college’s Showcase 51¸£ÀûÉç Weekends and Student Philosophy Night events.
His engaging energy about chiropractic has landed him as a frequent guest on radio and television in Puerto Rico. Dr. Salgado has memberships with the Association for the History of Chiropractic, Puerto Rico Chiropractic Association and Association for Reorganizational Healing Practice.
51¸£ÀûÉç College named its 2020 award recipients as part of Lyceum, a homecoming and continuing education event attended by hundreds of chiropractors and students throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held each May and involves three days of seminars, special events and other programs; this year’s Lyceum was held as a live-streaming event for the first time ever to preserve this crucial continuing education opportunity for Doctors of Chiropractic. More than 700 people participated.
